The layer that finishes the property.
Hillside planting, native palettes, irrigation, and the garden walls that frame it — designed for the Southern California climate and the architecture above it.
Planting and the walls that hold it.

Landscaping
Hillside terracing, drought-tolerant planting, lawns where they make sense, irrigation tuned to the slope.
Landscaping
Garden Walls
Decorative and structural — seat walls, planter walls, and low retaining that organizes the landscape.
Garden Walls
Plants that survive Southern California — not plants that need to be rescued by it.
We design with the climate, not against it. Native and Mediterranean species — olive, ceanothus, sage, rosemary, manzanita — anchor most of our palettes. Where the client wants the look of a wetter climate, we get there with carefully detailed irrigation and microclimates, not with a planting list that will burn out in August.
Refresh the planting?
Or rebuild from the slope up — either way, let's look at the property.
